 As you may know, the Faria family indicated in lieu of flowers donations may be made to a college fund for Francisco’s children. Dear OTB Friends,

It is with great sadness to report the loss of one of our own. Francisco Faria of the Yankees passed away Sunday from a reported heart attack at his home in Acton, MA. Francisco has played in OTB since 1995 on only one team, his beloved Yankees.

As one of our most popular players Francisco received numerous awards including multiple Team Manager Awards and multiple "Dr. Frank Meisel" Awards as best representing our OTB Philosophy and Creed.

On the ball field Francisco always found a way to make his teammates smile and enjoy the game, win or lose because his love for the game was so strong. We will miss having him grace our fields.

A wake was held at the Acton Funeral Home on Friday, January 17th and a funeral service was held the following morning at St. Elizabeth Church in Acton, MA.
