2010 OTB-NOTB Hitting Contest at LeLacheur Park!
New date - Sunday October 10th.
We have secured LeLacheur Park for our 2010 Hitting Contest to help raise money for UMass Baseball.
On Sunday morning, October 10, 2010, UMass Baseball will provide pitchers and fielders for us to knock the ball around LeLacheur Park.
Similar to previous years, hitters score points by consistently driving the ball, even if no home runs are hit. It’s a great time for a worthy cause.
A few rules:
- New game balls will be used.
- Hit as many rounds as you like...pay as you go - $20 for 1st round, $5 for any additional rounds.
- Scoring: 200 feet=1 point, 300 feet=2 points, Hit the wall=3 points, Homerun=5 points.
- Your "official" round for scoring will be your highest scoring round.
- Friends and family are invited to watch and can participate in the contest themselves!
- Uniforms are optional.
- All baseball bats allowed including wood, aluminum, composite, drop 5’s, whatever...
- An Over-48 age group competition will also be held (pending interest).
